Dr Norio Kumagai
The OIE has set up five Regional Commissions to express specific problems facing its Members in the different regions of the world. These Commissions can be seen as fully fledged regional institutional bodies.
The Regional Commission organizes a Conference, once every two years, in one of the countries of the region. These conferences are developed to technical items and to regional cooperation for the control of animal diseases. Regional programmes may be developed to reinforce surveillance and control of major diseases. Regional Commissions report on their activities and submit recommendations to the World Assembly of Delegates.
The final reports of Regional Conference in the Asia and the Pacific region are uploaded here.
The Regional Work Plan Framework is available.
