OIE Reference Laboratory Bovine Brucellosis Inter-Laboratory Proficiency Test 2020

Header

We are fortunate to have several OIE Reference Laboratories in the Asia and Pacific Region, which promote scientific and technical assistance as well as provide expert advice on topics linked to diagnosis and control of various diseases.

The OIE Reference Laboratory for Brucellosis (Brucella abortus & B. melitensis) at the National Institute of Animal Health in Bangkok, Thailand, is organising an inter-laboratory proficiency test (ILPT) this year. This will include Bovine Brucellosis Serum testing: Rose Bengal Test, Complement fixation test and indirect ELISA.

The Institute is pleased to offer this testing free of charge to regional laboratories under the responsibility of the national laboratory in each country. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to assess your laboratory capacity.

If OIE members wish to participate in this ILPT, please fill out the attached participation form and send it back by e-mail to Reka Kanitpun ([email protected]) and Monaya Ekgatat ([email protected] or [email protected]) or by fax (+662-5798919) before April 10th, 2020.

If you require any special import permit, please let the Reference Laboratory know immediately, and start the necessary paperwork to send the adequate permit as soon as possible. The panel of ILPT 2020 consists of 21 vials of inactivated bovine serum (0.5 mL/vial) and 1 vial (2.0 mL) of RBT antigen (killed).

Thank you for your continued support of OIE activities.
