Activities in Asia and the Pacific

The OIE Regional Representation for Asia and the Pacific and the OIE Sub-Regional Representation for South East Asia have been spearheading many activities on rabies control in animals to support the elimination of dog-mediated human rabies in the Asia Pacific Region. The OIE supports its Members in areas of capacity building (e.g., laboratory diagnostics training in collaboration with OIE Reference Centers), intersectoral coordination enhancement, and access provision to its rabies vaccine bank.

Sub-regional Meetings (Regional Tripartite)

The OIE has recently organised three key events on rabies in collaboration with the regional tripartite and other partners.

Activities conducted in collaboration with OIE Reference Laboratory at the Changchun Veterinary Institute (CVRI) in China (2017-2019)
