PVS Pathway

OIE PVS Pathway Follow-up Workshop

Header

As a flagship programme of the OIE, the PVS Pathway is an independent, country-driven, stage-by-stage process of systems evaluation and planning, to strengthen a country’s Veterinary Services (VS) in compliance with the OIE’s internationally agreed standards on the quality of VS.

The South-East Asian PVS Pathway Orientation training was hold on 10-13 December 2019 to strengthen member country understanding of and engagement with the PVS Pathway, as well as developing a new sub-regional approach to the PVS Pathway. During this workshop, countries developed and presented a practical national/organisational planning for project related to PVS and One Health engagement over the next 12-24 months.

The OIE Sub-Regional Representation for South East Asia will organise a virtual meeting to follow-up on the conclusions of the Orientation training of December 2019.

The objectives of this meeting will be:

  • To inform SEA member countries on the adaptation of the OIE PVS Pathway tools to physical activity restriction due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • To assess the country’s progress along the workplan developed in December 2019 for PVS-related activities and One Health engagement, if any, and revise the country’s plan considering the adjusted modalities.
